the male or female? father vs. mother?
im guessing the male, since you can always add more females
curious, because my male is flourishing, he is always active, eating, tanning, running aimlessly, etc.
but my female ackie, well other than being smaller, ive fattened her some, but shes still small, she doesn't eat as much, she actually seems to be getting worse at hunting, and she hides and sleeps alot more than my male
she just watches the crickets go by or even scares them silly with her tongue, not eating, or just failing alot to consume it, her head is smaller..
but it seemed like this was common behavior in ackie Males vs. Females... but i was wondering when you are actually breeding... wouldn't you want a strong female as well? since she is bearing the load, actually the guy just... doesn't have to do much, other than get it in?
she seems to bear the rest of the load?
sometimes i wonder if i should separate my female just so i can stuff her silly with crickets? but she seems happy, they get along, sleep together, he doesn't harass her anymore, only the first few weeks, they are both 5 months, same clutch actually, of course my sexing on their gender isn't for sure, but it figures.
