Can you tell me what rhymes with moon,
And can be written on a page,
Or on a rock for age on age,
This ancient letter tell me soon!

Awesome pictures. I've been wondering, what do you guys all use for incubation?

balloonzforu Nov 15, 2006 04:08 PM

Thank you!

She's a Tang Bell Albino

I use 1 part perilite to .8 part water. Spray water evenly over the perilite. It will look very dry even though it is not.

I've only caught one in the act of hatching. I hope to catch more in the future.

How long does it usually take them from the moment of breaking the shell to being fully out?

balloonzforu Nov 16, 2006 04:27 AM

I've seen as short as 5 min to as long as 1.5 hours. I think it really has to do with how much yolk is left for the hatchling to absorb and how strong they are.

Wow!

Sounds much harder to catch than a shed, plus it only occurs once in a gecko's lifetime. Given approximately equal incubation temps between pairs, one might give some amount of a heads up for the later one though I suppose they could be apart by a few days or so as well.

Those pics really are a nice prize!
