New Babies

aplaxco Aug 07, 2003 12:16 PM

So, I have been lurking around for a couple of years reading the posts and learning everything I can. After 4 years with my adult male snow corn and reading this forum, I have decided to give breeding a try. My ex got me into reptiles and he bred Beardies and Geckos, so I have been somewhat exposed to it as far as the responsibility of caring for and then placing babies in new homes. I now have four corns, two of which are '02 babies and one of which is only a month old so it will be a couple of years before I will be able try, but I wanted to get some more information. Where did some of you learn to predict the genetic ratios for a clutch? I have seen that there is software out there but I really want to learn to do it myself, and right now just reading the posts make my brain bleed. My uncle is a renowned genetic researcher...you'd think some of it would have rubbed off, but alas,no...

I will post pics of my three new babies as soon as I get them uploaded. I got them Saturday, and just fed them last night and they all pigged out!!! I am so excited!

Thanks for any help or suggestions you can offer.
