Hi, I just did this quickly and would love to hear your comments, is there anything that I need to improve on? (BTW the bit of wood will be reallly secure) The food dish will be a mealworm dish as I dont see crickets sitting in that! lol Thanks

Or on a rock for age on age,
This ancient letter tell me soon!

Looks like you are taking a lot of time to think this over. Good for you! I don't know that you need to change anything, but:

The only things I would mention, and really, you may not need to change anything, but something to think about:

Geckos love to climb and are known as escape artists. Make sure your plants or wood isn't high enough to offer an "out". Also, we made the mistake of putting in a tall plant and the gecko went straight up it... and then couldn't get down. (we were watching and rescued her, don't worry.) Just don't make anything too high they will jump and no one wants to get hurt.

Also, I was advised long ago that some leos really prefer hides with two doors. I've seen some geckos perfectly fine with one "door" hole cut in their hide, but if you notice the little guy avoiding a hide, keep in mind trying to cut a hole opposite to see if that helps.

Don't forget about cleaning, everything in there should be sanitized at least every 6 months, keep that in mind if you are gluing or planting real plants. And I'm guessing it is at least a 10 gal size?

Good luck! I'm sure s/he will love it!

Awesome paint skills.

How do you keep a hide moist if it has 2 doors, or is it just because mine is over the heat pad..

Keep just one door on the humid hide. That way you can actually keep some humidity in there without having to mist it every few hours.

As far as multiple doors on the other hides, it's best to have a variety of hiding places so your leo can choose where they want to hang out. Just because they don't like a certain hide doesn't mean it needs another door

Only thing I would change is the making the wood really secure. Remember things need to be taken out for cage cleaning, chasing lizards down, etc. Make it secure enough for a gecko, but not so secure that it'll be difficult to remove.
