Nice - very Cal King looking head. Is that typical of splendida? (I've never noticed before, or thought to look).

Great little looker! Yeah, the head is rather Cal King-ish. Looking @ that snake, besides making me want one all the more, brings to mind the theory someone on here expressed (I forget who) that the western L.g.'s are primarily different variations on the same snake.

It makes sense that they are very closely related, since they are geographically close (cal, mbk, splendida).
Some think that nigrita and splendida are the same thing, with nigrita being a super melanistic form. Perhaps that is the case, I don't know.
