You should keep it in the refrigerator for a few days.Best to keep at 2-4C..ie don't freeze. Gross PM might reveal things even weeks later, but histology would be less reliable after say 3-5 days and bacteriology after 1-2.

Thanks Ethan. I was told by my own vet, the one who was going to help me out and other "experts" that I contacted all said 24 hours is pushing it with just refrigeration. If I decide to do a simple one on my own I'll find out then how much I can see after a few days in fridge! My other two are still in the freezer waitng to be buried together with Bart in my garden
