Is there any danger in using rats that have been frozen for a long time or have freezer burn?
I don't believe there is any harm in the rats being freezer burnt it's just that a lot of snakes won't touch them. I usually have a 3 month rule, and try to not have any stay frozen longer than that. I'm sure you can keep them longer than that if they're packed right, but that's just the guideline I go by. I double freezer bag mine, and wrap them tight in a brown paper sac, but I wrap the freezer bags I'm not going to use right away in newpaper. It's a great insulater, and will keep them fresher longer.
