As i'm not experienced with arboreal geckos..would these not be suitable for a beginner? Should I stick with Cresteds?

garweft Nov 17, 2006 05:00 PM

These are not beginner geckos. I would suggest starting with a crested, then later if you want one go for it.

These guys go for $$$, and are not known for being nice. I would make sure that you really know what your doing if you plan on getting one. Do your research and get some experience with some other Rhacs like cresteds before getting into these.

Right on, yeah, I wasn't set on one or anything, I had just seen that picture, and I thought they were cool. Cresteds seem like they'd do okay for me, as soon as I can figure out how to keep one side of the room cooler. Is it true that you can keep 3 cresteds in a 20g high enclosure? I'm going to get bigger, but that was just the figure I had heard. Thanks!

They are cool, they are also the largest gecko in the world.

That's why I thought it was cool. :P
