Abbie's morph....

pspguy Aug 07, 2003 01:37 PM

If you guys could tell me a bit about Abbie's morph and pattern I'd appreciate it...

After her shed last night, she looks like she has dark brown patches, with high yellow and some pastel areas. The really light areas are almost a very light lavender. I wish I could get you all a new pic since the shed, but my camera battery is dead =(

She is a normal, though she looks like she may have a slightly abberant pattern- looks like one of the bands is broken. This is not uncommon in normals.

Well I know you cannot give me specifics, but because of all the wilds colors, would I be guarenteed all normal young from her?

Um, well those colors are typical for leopard gecko of that age, so I don't know what you mean by wild. As they get older the purple fades and you should have a tan or yellow gecko with black spots.

If it keeps the yellow it will be a yellow-normal aberrant pattern (assumming that band is broken).

As for potential offspring, it depends on what you breed her to. If you breed her to a tangerine for example, you could get a gecko that has some tangerine. If you breed her to a hypo gecko, you cold get wone with reduced spotting. She could also be het for something and you might not know it unless you breed her to another het or morph. I just found out my superhypo tang was het for albino this season when I bred her to my albino male and got an albino baby.

I agree with Starling.. It looks normal but with an aberrant pattern.. )
