mattransam Nov 17, 2006 03:08 PM

Hi there my name is matt and i have had reptiles all of my life in cluding many iguanas that grew to be quite old..
My problem is a got another baby iguana about two years ago and after having him for about 5 months of me feeding him and noone else i had to go to oklahome for about a mnth then when i got back i found out when other people fed him he didn't eat so he didn't eat while i was gone (but now he'll just eat everything in sight!) but after i took him to the vet he hasn't grown in over a year.. has anyone evr heard of this happening? he is still very heathly and active but he just doesn't grow..

What were they feeding him? Did they keep him at proper conditions?

Yes, I have heard of stunted growth caused by malnutrition. Sometimes the reptile will continue to grow once it is back in ideal conditions, but it will never get as large as it could have
