Just got home tonight to be greeted with this

It'll be interesting to see how he gets down from there as my TV is in that corner

We have a whole house free roamer, that has free roamed for 5 years now. We had one instance where Iggi climbed up on some shelves in our kitchen (early on). However, now she stays on her basking spot (warmed by 2 heating pads), or, if a thunderstorm comes up, goes to her bed (warmed by 3 heating pads) in her bedroom. When we leave to go shopping, we leave her bedroom light on, and the heating pads on low. She never goes anywhere else. We think she stays where it is warm, and is familiar. We leave the TV on her favorite channel, so she can watch it from her basking spot, while we are gone.

He may develop a routine as he has only been free roaming for the past six months.We have a few of his favourite places set up as basking areas but no routine as yet.the fact that I keep the house at a constent day temp of 82 doesn't help his wanderings but I guess it's all part of being allowed to live with an ig.

Iggi picked out the spot she wanted for basking. She layed on the back of the couch, and looked out the window at the street. We then placed baby receiving blankets on top of heating pads for warmth, and hung an 18 inch florescent fixture with a UVB bulb above her. She used to sleep in the living room, on a floor to ceiling cat tree, but she outgrew that, and picked the back of a recliner in a back bedroom to sleep on.

That's a great pic!it shouldn't be right but it is.I have one on my phone of Larry one morning lying in bed beside me under the covers after he decided to spend the night sleeping on my headboard.Lucky my girlfriend wasn't there that night or he would have stood no chance of getting into the bed.What she doesn't know won't hurt her.

What "shouldn't be right" about it? That was Iggi in her bed. I thought you would like to see where our free roamer sleeps at night.

No offence. I ment the way we humanise them, but as long as they are happy with it then I don't see any problem with it.I think it shows a great level of trust on the part of the Ig, and trust as we all know with these guys has to be earned.

As I said in my last post Larry has come into bed with me in the past, an act I doubt he would have considered if my girlfriend had been there as he doesn't know her well enough yet.
