Litter 2006...final notes

mjf Nov 18, 2006 12:46 AM

The last 2 babies ate yesterday...Nov 17...they were born July 13 (notaeus)...they were pretty well offered food weekly up til they ate...so if your breeding them for the first time, just be patient, (and have a backup if they refuse lol...I have a trinket and a house snake lol)...next year I won`t even offer food to the final holdouts til they are 4 months old...(pretty well all the rest ate by 6 weeks) they were fed live mice. Best of luck to all and hope to see some other litters online next summer...Kelly, shouldn`t your girl be dropping soon?...Mike

Mike,
Interesting information on the feeding of the neonate yellows. They don't sound a lot different than greens in this respect. I have a large virgin female that we are going to introduce to Jud's male in a few months. Should have young by next fall if all goes well. She was born here in 2001, is extremely tame, and have never had a problem with her. I posted a photo of her below taken about a year ago. She is almost 2 feet longer now than in this photo and probably 30 pounds heavier. Thanks,

Kelly
