It verys from animal to animal. I've seen some change as young as a few months, but usually around a year old. One of mine started at 16 months, the other at 9. The new Biak I picked up is approximately 9 months I'm guessing, and it's already changing too although it could take a long time to finish. My other one shows no signs of change at 6 months old.

In my experience it can take anywhere from 2 months to 7 years. I say 7 years because I have a 7 year old biak that is still changing. I've had others change from yellow to green in 2 days, and there are reports of animals changing literally in just a few hours. After raising so many I believe the possiblities are endless with chondros.
