humidity rising???

crazydragon Nov 18, 2006 08:49 AM

What would cause the humidity to rise in my tanks? It use to be 30-40 now it is up to 50. I haven't changed anything I'm doing. Could the temperature changing outside have an effect on this? And how and what can I do to get the levels back down. The only thing in the tanks are the greens that I spray with water, but there not in all day because they eat them. My son says its because my room is cooling than before, and that I should keep the room hotter? I can't stand a hot room to sleep in, can this be the problem. Should I move them out of my room! What should I do, I don't want them to get sick! Thanks for your help

Is your room close to the kitchen?

In winter, when we close windows and doors, the kitchen can raise humidity over the whole house.

My room isn't near the kitchen, but it is very cold when the weather gets cold . There is no heating in the room , only a hole in the foor where the warm air from downstairs is suppose to rise.Would the cold cause the humidity to rise? Maybe the tanks should be in a warmer room?
