So, now I have my pair of Bairdi, both eating and doing nicely! Perhaps not much to look at now, but I was wondering how long till some of that beautiful color starts to come in? One year, two? Here's my male:

So, now I have my pair of Bairdi, both eating and doing nicely! Perhaps not much to look at now, but I was wondering how long till some of that beautiful color starts to come in? One year, two? Here's my male:

They change a little with each shed. The more you feed them, the faster they become adults. I have a pair of Mexican Baird's Rat Snakes that took almost two years to change and a have a Texan that starting looking like an adult in less than a year.
Just give nature a little time and you should have a nice looking pair of snakes.

I love the look of the babies, and the adults are stunning. But I think I may prefer the look of the babies more.

I like the looks of the babies more myself. I like raising the babies too.

They look like big healthy snakes. You may actually see some good color in the first year. Glad to see some Mexis making it into our area.
