I want to buy a legit one. My egg parenting skills are lacking. Any idea? There's nothing up in the Classifieds. Thanks!

For many years i have used Styro Hovobators. They work well once you get the temp set correctly. They are always available in the KS classifiedes & if not then on eBay. They usualy cost between $40 - $60 depending on the model that you choose.

I use a Lyons RL-1 incubator now. It works well and has alot of room inside to fit many containers of eggs, but it is a very expensive unit & you still have to adjust the temp with a wing nut just like on the hovobators!

I use a digital Helix to control the temp, it's much easier & once you set the temp you never have to re-adjust it.

Hovabators are great. If your only going to incubate a few clutches you can't beat these. Very affordable, durable, keep good even temps, etc. I own a couple of them and highly recommend them. About $35 from LLL or you may be able to get them from Reptile Depot depending on where in So. Cal. you live.
