White Plains Reptile Show

skyfire_1 Nov 19, 2006 01:37 PM

Hi, I was thinking of going to the White Plains Reptile show in New York next Sunday. I have never been there but always wanted to go. Does someone have an opinion on just how large or how good this show usually is? Or if this show might have a large selection of Gopher's? I am specifically looking for a Blizard Samoan Gopher on this trip, but there also may be a few other snakes (clean Hog Island) that I may be interested in also.

I was asking this question because it's a five hour drive for me each way and wasn't sure if it would be worth it, if I got skunked with what I was looking for. Thanks...

I don't know which way you're coming from, but it is also a 5 hour drive for me and I always thought it was worth it, as a vendor and as a customer. The show is well run with a solid core group of vendors and usually a decent variety. I think it is advertised as one of the biggest shows on the coast, somewhere between 150 and 200 tables. Find the "eight legs plus"
table and inquire about what you're looking for. if they don't have it they might be able to direct you to someone that does.

>>I'm in the 'cuse. You must drive faster than I do ( easy to do ) or I do not pay close enough attention to the drive time since it takes me 5 hours to get there...I think.

you could also go to the show web page, they have a list of vendors there- maybe check in with a few before you go, see what they are bringing.

"Blizzard Samoan Gopher"

That's quite a range extension....

Think that was a Fraudian Slip? Ouch!
