White Plains Reptile Show

skyfire_1 Nov 19, 2006 05:10 PM

Hi, I was thinking of going to the White Plains Reptile show in New York next Sunday. I have never been there but always wanted to go. Does someone have an opinion on just how large or how good this show usually is? Or if this show might have a large selection of Hog Islands? I am specifically looking for a clean Hog Island.

But there also may be a few other snakes like a Blizard Samoan Gopher that I would pick up if I ran across one.

I was asking this question because it's a five hour drive for me each way and wasn't sure if it would be worth it, if I got skunked with what I was looking for. Thanks...

White plains shows rock but 5 hrs, is a haul. Boas are a staple at the show and there are usually some hoggs available. I've seen them for $175 and up. If you don't find any I should have some in the spring.

I know of two very reputable vendors worth contacting about Hog Island availability before going to the show. They both should be there. They are Vin Russo (Cutting Edge Herps) and Paul Mitchell (PM Herps) with great quality animals.
