Well, it has been almost a week with Padmé's eye sort of shut. It is not any worse, but just a bit better. I'm gathering it is not a Vitamin A deficiency, but rather an injury to her eye. Not to mention, she has never developed any RNS symptoms, it hasn't spread to the other eye and none of the other torts have it. If it IS an injury to her eye, should I keep flushing it with sterile saline, the way I have been (and the vet recommended)?

For the record, as well, Padmé has not gone off her feed and continues to drink water and gain weight/defecate/etc. She's normal, except for the eye!

Thanks,
Steph

I would keep flushing it as the vet recommended but if it's not clearing up then I'd wonder if the vet couldn't prescribe an antibiotic eye ointment if it is infected.
