Is this normal?

cyrusdust Nov 20, 2006 12:03 AM

I paired a snow and a snake that was sold to me as "Stonewashed". He is Anery A and looks hypo, but I don't know yet if that's genetic. I don't think he is a hybrid because the breeder that produced him only breeds corns.

Is it normal to get this much variance in a clutch? Some were black and silver, others look a lot like the father, and the majority look like something in-between with various undertones of pink and purple. Just kind of curious.

Thanks, Meghan

It looks like two ghosts and one anery are in the pic. Ghost is hypo and anery. Because there's so much variation in hypos (some can look almost like normals, while others can look like dark-eyed albinos), there's a lot of variation in the "look" of ghosts.

That's a cool little striped/cubed you have there.......

Yea, that is normal for anerys. I've seen aney's lighter than ghosts and ghosts darker than anerys.

Humm thanks for the replys. I guess only breeding them would let me know for sure.
