New Sand Boa

hey hows a going i just bought a 05 kenyan male sand boa i am usaly a frog guy with my pixies and pacman i did own a snow corn befor but i was woundering if someone who has one could give me some advice about him i would like to get into the big snakes now i could use anything thanks. Ryan

Ryan, if you're wanting to get into big snakes, you got the wrong boa. They stay small. Males are smaller than females. My male about 18 inches. He's bred all four of my females and is a great breeder. They like it warm and dry but I do leave a humid mulch bowl in their homes because sometimes they do like to get in it near shed time.

i have another question then i have a 05 male i was woundering if i could put another sand boa with him ??? and is aspen wood saving ok for the bedding ??

While most people would tell you to house them separately unless you're breeding, I have a trio of females together, along with one male. They've been together since I've owned them (about 6 years). I feed them separately and have never had any problems. I do watch them carefully. I also keep mine on aspen only.
