being that this was Singapore would be either a Retic or a Burm.

It was a Jack Russell and although it doesn't say what type of python, it does say
'Pythons in the city and neighbouring Malaysia can grow to more than 7 metres (23 feet) and feed on small creatures, such as birds or rats'
So i'm thinking Retic.
