My male veiled hit maturity recently (about 7 months) and turned into a massive grump.
For the last 2 months he would hide when I came around and/or puff up and hiss at me and try to bite. So, I just left him alone for the most part. Talked to him with the door open but not getting to close. Offer him his favourite treats by hand.
In the last couple weeks he has completely changed. He “runs” to the door to his cage and wants out each time I walk by his cage. If I am near his cage he sits at the door with his “paws” up, looking out at me. It is the funniest thing and he is so cute!

my female hated me. now, she loves me. she hates everybody else though.
