Every time everyone starts posting pictures I want to have more Thayeri than I already do - which is already more than I planned because you are all such bad influences.

or therapy. Some imagery techniques to help wean you away from the addiction. Let's start with these girls from Tim G....

Additional sessions can be scheduled as needed. I believe that Dr. Vermilya is accepting new patients as well.

Good luck!

. . .or no one told you that this hobby a CHRONIC condition. Forget therapy, it’s a revolving door. The only cure is a coma or maybe "a catastrophe of epic proportions," Might as well just go along with it, hehe. Here’s more to keep you craving for more, mwuahahahahahhaaa!

Jonel,

Who did you acquire them from? Did they come from Artistic Investments (CB)? The two (06thayeri-a-m4 and 06thayeri-a-f6) I bought from you this year are doing great...thanks.

By the way, how is that "green" one doing? I'm a sucker for the green leonis thayeri's...

Hi Jim

Nice to hear from you. Glad to hear that the babies are doing well in your palce. You guessed right. They're from my buddy Chris B. The "green" one is doing great and will be matched up with a nice female next year. Hoping for some little green ones in 07. Wish me luck. Keep in touch.

Hi Jim

Thanks. I'm planning to get my site updated as well as take new and recent pics of the animals this winter (they're a lot easier to work with) so I'll keep you updated. BTW, thanks for the awesome Thanksgiving Greeting Card. The animal in it looks amazing. I love the split saddles. Could you tell us more about it. Talk to you soon and take care.

Thayeri are the “Crack” of the snake world. You know I sold out of all Thayeri in the mid 90’s, went, like, three years without one, I still think about the breeders I sold … VERY BAD INFLUENCES - all of you.

Jonel, where did that come from? I thought you liked them with well-defined patterns and strong black lines?

what’s the story on that last one? Something different is going on there.

All are nice, my head is spinning.

Rick: Another treatment option is to be repeatedly bombarded with images of thayeri, to the point where they are no longer attractive to you...you eventually come to view them as equivalent to Nerodia. Of course this a long and painful process.

Cheers,

Bob

Or, if you feel like you're never going to be able to kick the habit, you might as well take the full plunge (though it sounds like you've already jumped into the deep end). This is, after all, a pretty harmless addiction. At least it's not ball pythons!

Both of these little jewels are 05's from Jonel Lopez.

Cheers,

Bob

Last year too! I think it was the beginning of the end for them. Maybe just a dose of reality with supply and demand economics.

I have a few of those things too (BP) but I don’t seem to have the same need to collect more of them.

I think you should start moving your camera around more when snapping photos too, maybe less perfect pictures would dull my need some!

Hi Bob

Very nice animal. I like how subtle everything are, from the pattern to the different shades of its colors. I ought to slap your hand with a ruler for saying thayeri and Nerodia in the same sentence though, hehe. That's no comparison bro. Keep in touch.

...pressed enter to early.

I actually like all the colors and pattern of thayeri but it just happened that one of my original females is a really good producer. She has a very clean background, thick black borders and a keyhole fading on her blotches and a lot of her characteristics was passed on to her offspring. One of them being a nice pin-blotched female that I kept a couple of years ago. Their decendants have given me tons of babies with the characteristics that you mentioned over the years. I guess I'm starting to get known for 'em but it wasn't really my intention in the begining. It gives us something different though so it's all good and well. Thanks and take care.

She had that very cool “butterfly” head pattern. Looks like she grayed out some but dang, those saddles are screamin’. Can’t wait to see her babies, will she be big enough this coming year?

Isn’t that a sign of the addiction when you can remember all the baby Thayeri from the last few years but I can’t remember what I did last week?

Rick,

I know what you mean...I can't remember what I had for lunch yesterday...Ha! Ha! Those photo's were taken 4 days after her last shedding...strangely enough, her future mate shed on the same day...go figure.

I don't know about her weight...I'll have to get some scales to verify the 250-300 gram weight after brumination before I attempt to breed her...I will let you know though...I am going to breed her with my '05 male from Dr. Dan...I posted some of his pic's on the forum today as well...

Got any better pic's of her mom (VAR-B-02)? The one that I have is kind'a "fuzzy"...I do like mom's yellow cheeks...
