PATMAN Nov 20, 2006 04:01 PM

On August 31st of this year my female eastern laid 3 eggs. Here it is almost 80 days later and they have started to hatch. Here's the first one that's finally out of the egg. I'll post more pic's for you when the other two come out. Enjoy!

I have to admit...I'm shocked. When you posted about the late season egg laying I thought to myself, "Yeah, no chance with those eggs." I'm really suprised! Congratulations!

Then I guess I should mention that the 4 eggs that my female 3 toed laid Novemebr 12 have all turned white. It appears these are the first fertile eggs I have gotton from her in the 22 years I've had here.

That means possible hatchlings in January/ February 2007!

Nice healthy looking boxies! Especially the one with so many dots at an early age.

You must have used great stock!!

I don't really understand what you mean by this statement....can you explain please? It almost seems as though you're linking health to shell pattern.

Thanks
