Robert, I am not sure but that looks like a pretty big baby. I just got mine too. Here he is in a saucer takeing a soak. They may even be different kinds of club tails???

i dunno if he is a baby or not? i think he is? i bought him at petco, he was labled as a C similis! then i posted pics and mark m told me he was a C palearis! what type is yours? is a C palearis a spiney tail or a club tail? how big do they get? there is like no info on them anywhere it seems! thanx
Robert

mine is suppose to be the same as yours. I will try to find a photo so you can see same basic care as a spiny tail. 12 to 18 inches long. Mine won't eat.

mine doesm't eat either?when i hold him/her it opens its mouth and i put shredded squash or other greens in his mouth and he eats some! he will eat crickets occasionaly!
well perhaps I can help, though I wouldn't call myself an expert. I bought a pair of females awhile back. both where gravid, one egg bound and died, the other laid a set of 6 infertile eggs. I picked up a male from the same supplier and my pair are doing well, putting on weight and seem to get along. Mine seem to be very carnivorous only taking about 50% of their diet in greens. I don't know if this is correct for them, and have not been able to find about their dietary needs. Mine where wild caught, and from what I've been able to find most or all specimens you will find are wild caught. They need to be wormed quickly or they waste away very fast, mine dropped weight within a week of getting them. After I wormed them they put on weight and their appetite improved greatly. I suggest giveing them a hide box, they are very flightly and don't seem to tame well. otherwise they can be very entertaining lizards. give them a good basking spot, lots of perches and lots of room to run, mine hang from the screen on top of their cage regularly. they also get a little bit of blue in their tails when they are happy, and I have seen some orange coloration on my male. good luck, If you have any other questions feel free to email me.
