Fluffy substrate for baby bloods?

iamsnakeshack Nov 22, 2006 04:47 PM

I have hiding spots on the hot side as well as the cool side but I noticed my baby blood likes to tunnel under the cypress bark I have in the cage. I read someone else post where they used pair (baked) leaves over the bark for added security. Is this a good idea? I would think for you newspaper guys you could use some that went through a shredder to achieve the same thing.

Comments?

The shredded paper idea sounds good to me.I might have to try that one.The only thing is after a few mistings it might stick down but oh well.I don't like the leave idea but thats just my opinion.I just crumble up some big paper anyways for more hides, trick I read from Angel.

the shredded paper (or shredded anything) is a bad idea. go up a couple of posts to see the "substrate stuck in mouth topic". I also go with crumpled newspaper.

Ya, after I posted it I thought the same thing; sounds like a bad idea at mealtime!
