Keep in mind that reticulated pythons are arguably the longest snake in the world. A male, over his lifetime, can reach lengths in the ballpark of 15' to a bit longer, however a male wuill rarely reach over 20 feet (FUN FACT: Herpetologists studying retics in the wild will raarely (if ever) bother to actually probe a retic if it is 20' or longer, because 99% of the time when they do, it is a female. My largest male is a late '03 and at least 12 feet long. Still a considerably large snake and if he feels like it, he can be quite a handful!
In Summation: Keep in mind that reticulated pythons are a *BIG* responsibility... not just literally and figuratively, but physically and financially too. If you are up for the challenge, its not that big of a deal, and they are a total joy to work with. HOWEVER- If you are ill prepared, they could potentially be more than you are ready for!
