plus they caught my attention (I bought a pair). I can't capture the banding/speckling well, it's like a neon yellow green. Can you guess the mix?

I like the striped tail and black head. Nervous little girl, always willing to defecate. I'm more used to the calm demeanor of the eastern babies I've dealt with lately. Have a good Thanksgiving, Don.

Youv'e got the cal part right. Even though there's no splendida they look more like desert kings than cals or .... oh, thats right, your supposed to guess.

i would have to also say cal/mbk. i have seen a few pure mbk come out looking similiar all except that stripe on the tail so knowing cal is in their i would have to say splendida or mbk but you say no splendida so cal/mbk it is

Byron, do you have any adult pictures? I'm curious if they will keep the high shine or muddy up. Do the ranges of these naturally cross at all. I'm pretty sure mexicans and deserts intergrade.

The ones that I have are just slightly larger than yours.
I would assume that because of the Mexican in them, they will darken slightly but not much.. I cant wait to see what they look like at adults..

I dont think they naturally intergrade.... Maybe somewhere in AZ, but I'm not sure if the Cal kings range is that far...

maybe Kerby can chime in on this..

Great lookin' little snake. At 10 bucks I couldn't have resisted either. Check on www.reptilesofaz.com for range maps of L.g. californiae, splendida and nigrita.
