Hypo? Southern hognose

A.C. Nov 22, 2006 07:30 PM

Check out this guy. I have been holding holding on to him for a couple years. He has no black on his body whatsoever. Everything that should be black is brown. The belly which is generally mottled is nearly pure white. I have him pictured next to his brother for comparison.

I am guessing him to be hypo.

It's different for sure. But from the picture it would be hard to call it a hypo. Not saying you can't call it one but it may not be possible to determine from a picture.

Hey Anthony
I read somewhere that hypos show no pattern in their shed. I have a pair of hypo hondurans and a pair of hypo syspila. They both have sheds with no pattern.
A.C. - remember this girl?? Striped/spotted temporalis.

A.C. in my limited experience with them, yours seems to be in the realm of normal coloration. I believe I still have one out there with no black at all maybe two.
A very pretty animal!
