any1 know what these 3 r?

fattiesnleos Nov 22, 2006 11:21 PM

hello everyone. these three day geckos were just adopted and i was wondering what type they were? the first is just plain green and is smaller then all the rest.
the second is dark green with slight red spots on his body, the pic doesn't show them to well.
and the third i am sure is a golden dust but thought i would show the picture anyhow.
the owner got tired of taking care of them all. he had them over 2 years, they look like they are all males and all have been living together.

I agree on the third. my guess for the first two are comoronensis (sp) from the Comoros islands. If the first is def. male then i don't know on that one.

yeah, im pretty sure the first two are males. i just walked in on them while they were on the glass, but the golden dust ran. they have the pores running down almost the entire side of their legs. im pretty sure thats how u tell sense thats how ya do it with leos.

Careful there; lots of lizards have large scales and even pits in those scales that are not pores. these are harder to see on small lizards. (you probably know all this) use the hemipenal bulges as a sex determining factor. -phillip

The first gecko looks like a lightly patterend grandis,
The second one is a lineata SP.
And the third is def a laticauda.
If you can get better pics.I can properly id them.Do you have any intentions to sell them or trade them?
Thanks,
Jeff

Looks like all three are Golden Day Geckos. Can't tell about the sex though. I have regular Goldens, less green and no red. Still cool the way they can stick to things though
