First time breeding my boa. Question

phoerner Nov 22, 2006 11:36 PM

I totaly cleaned the cage when I bought the male for my girl and then put them together, one of them has made a mess of the cage, there is little smears and puddles of brite white liquid all over in the cage. What is it, is it normal. I know when I first put them together the female was wagging her tail and her vent was wide open and she urinated, but this stuff is everywhere. Just a concerned parent .

I have had females do the same thing when I would introduce a male. The female will instantly lift her tail and let out some white urates.I am not sure if it is a stimulating thing that some females do,but it does make a mess of the cage and them themselvesL.O.L. Do not worry, infact one of the females that does that in my collection is big and gravid as we speak!!!

That's a good sign that your female is receptive, and the male is interested.
