25% albino
and the rest would be considered 66% possible het for albino

I was thinking you were still working on that 1st cup of coffee at least thats how I work LOL but if you didn't read the title I would of thought the same thing. Jasballs said 1normal 2 66% hets its really 1 normal 2 100% hets but since you can't tell them apart that gives you the 66% hets.

Jasball it would be 1 albino 1 normal 2 100% hets but since you can't tell them apart that gives you the 66% hets like you said though its all on average basis you never know what you end up with.

No
1 albino
2 100% het albinos
1 normal
66% hets wuuld be the 2 100% hets and 1 normal combined!

In general,
25% Normal
50% Heterozygous
25% Albino
So, out of 4 eggs, one MIGHT expect 1 normal, 2 hets and 1 albino. But because you won't know the difference between the normal and hets, some refer to them as 66% hets. Genetics can be far more complex and my explanation isn't completely clinically correct, but will do for your question. Also, keep in mind that these are just percentages - you could get no albinos at all. This past season, out of 7 eggs, I had 6 albinos!

ok now im going to ask another question....
what do you get when you breed a het to a normal......
50% normals, 50% poss hets????
Nope
All would be 50% possible hets
1/2 100% hets
1/2 normals

If you breed an albino to a normal you get all 100% hets back. So if you breed an albino to a het you get albinos and hets you dont get any poss hets, they are all hets if an albino parent is present. I may have miss read what everyone was talking about with the 66% hets, sorry if i did, but an albino to a het will produce hets and albinos. A het to het breeding gives you 66% hets and albinos.
