My snake is in need of a new habitat, He's about three and a half feet long and I need to be able to carry the tank up three flights and stairs so something light weight would be better. As I'm living in the city now sapce is a factor so I'd like to get him something that hes confortable and a can grow some in but I'd still like it to be smaller. Does anyone have any suggetions? thanks.

How about a Rubbermaid sweater box.. They are light and come in just about every size you can imagine.. If your snake out grows it, toss it & buy a bigger one...

Or keep it and buy another snake, like the rest of us do!

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!

Do you find them hard to heat ? I would think that an UTH might warp/melt the side ?
I bought 2 ten gallons this yr for 2 babies I bought but next yr intend to buy few more thus this sounds good if I can heat it .

Thanks

I have been using rubbermaids for years with no prob's.. Actually, some of the boxes i am currently using have to be well over 10 years old!

I use flexwatt heat tape and i Helix controllers to maintain proper temps..

Thanks a lot good to know . Going to go with them over tanks next year . I knew some used them but thought room was heated was always bit worried about heating the actual rubbermaid container.
