How old or big do Black Milks need to be to reproduce?
Most milksnakes generally do best if bred their third year, although it's sometimes possible to breed them sooner with a heavy feeding regimen, this is usually not recommended. This will give the female enough growing time and allow her to build up a good body weight(500-600 grms.or better) with less chance of egg laying complications. It's also a good idea when breeding time does come around,to not overfeed the male, they will do fine if they are slightly smaller than the female. You want them to be trim, fit, and active, not overfed and lazy. ................hope this helps.
