What kind of tanks do you use? I was hoping to get 2 females, and I was wondering if the exo terra 18x18x24 is adequate. I'd like to go bigger if possible, but I don't know what kind of cage to get. A door on the side would be best. I also want to have live plants, are there any good books or websites? The sites i've found have been pretty crappy..any help would be awesome! Thanks!

i dont know of any websites or anything but that size exo terra works great as long as you have plenty of hiding spots.

Something similar to a 29 gallon vertical terrarium would be fine for 2. As for plants and other information, search though this forum as it is a pretty constant set of questions. Just the other day there was a discussion of cage type enclosures and there is always questions of what plants are good. (I'm not a good one to ask, since we feel the ability to sanitize is more important and everything is fake in ours.) Good luck!

Also, crestedgecko dot com is a good site for care information.

The best book I have ever read on geckos has been Rhacodactylus: The Complete Guide to their Selection and Care. It is a bit pricey, but well worth the read. Anything you need to know about Rhacs is in there. The best website I have found is www.repashy.com. Their are some very intelligent people on the forum there.

I have my 2 in a 10 gallon w/a wire mesh topper that doubles the height. I'm looking for bigger and am designing something now that is screen/mesh & plexiglass or glass with a divider in the middle to seperate as needed (or during non breeding season). Just going to have to beg my dad to help me build it (maybe I'll have my son do it since he doesn't say no to him....lol)

cagesbydesign.com have some great ideas and I ordered a catalog from them.

As for plants, I have a pothos at the bottom and plastic vines hanging from the top. Also a bendable stick from petco and a ledge for feeding from pangeareptile.com (no more substrate in the food).
