Can anyone help me with this King. It was a rescue, and I think it is an Aberrant Cal king. Its the light spots mixed in the dark area that throws me off. Anyone else have a guess??? Thanks

It is definetely a cal king hybrid. Looks like a king x corn hybrid to me. I think they call them jungle corns of super corns or something. The Pituophis hybrids I have seen all have more color.

Awfully similar dorsal blotches, though, don't you think? And wouldn't the amount of color or lack thereof depend upon the Pit ssp. bred w/ the king. Even within the same Gopher ssp. there is an incredible variability depending on the snakes' locale. Take P. c. deserticola for instance.
