Once i have the snake all packed up and ready to be shipped. Do i simply go to the ups or fedex store and tell them that i need to ship it or is there special procedures i need to go through??
Or can i schedule a pick up from my house or what??

UPS doesn't take snakes and Fedex only takes them if you're reptile certified. Reptiles require special packaging...do you already have that info.? Very important they are packed correctly.

You are correct about fedex but not for UPS....I had to register thru them and they gave me a break down of what can be shipped and snakes were excepted, so now all my boxes can be labled live harmless reptiles and they pick them up at my buisness,unlike fedex where you had to put air holes on the corners and no reference about reptiles on the box so they did not question you......I wish that all ups stations would get on the same sheet of music because a year ago I talked to someone at UPS and they said no shipping of snakes?? and months later they said yes??....
Just call them and ask what reptiles can be shipped ask them to read off the list...dont let them say I THINK YOU CANT SHIP SNAKES. and please box them correctly when you do ship....heat packs if it ic cold.

Yep...one person tells you one thing, next one something different. I stopped playing that game a long time ago...that's why I got my info. from the website. It says they DO NOT accept snakes of any kind. It also says that if a prohibited item is found anywhere along the shipping route UPS has the right to stop shipment at that point and dispose of it. I know people who use UPS and tell them it's geckos or something...but I'm not willing to take the risk. I will include a link to the page if you're interested.
