Is there any reasonably simple way to do this?
I have a 3.5-foot Emory in rehabilitation, and he has NEVER shown any interest in "mousicles," AKA frozen food. He's done well with live pinkies, and worked his way up to fuzzy rats. He just finished a bad shed-- I had to wash off a lot of pieces-- and now he won't eat at all.
Is he trying to hibernate, by any chance?
He's been antisocial lately: lethargic, until I pick him up, at which point he becomes The Incredible Gravity-Defying Motion Machine. Actually, I think the reason his skin is so dry is that he's been too lazy to move over to his water dish.
His temp. gradient is 75-90, but his light cycle is all screwy right now-- his lamp timer has been shorting out and needs replacement.
Back to the original subject and my original question, can I try washing a live fuzzy rat with unscented baby shampoo, or is that absolute madness? Should I just downgrade to fuzzy mice, or even all the way to pinkies? It's only been about 2 weeks since he's eaten, but he's underweight and recovering from infection... he needs nourishment!
