I always try wetbagging snakes first before trying to physically remove eyecaps.

I am guessing you mean a moist cloth bag (water)? How long?
Thanks.
Had him in a wet cloth bag for 4-5 hours, cap looks identical. Any other ideas welcomed. I don't want to damage the eye by pulling it off without having some input from someone who has experience in this matter. Thanks again for your help. I would love to hear any other ideas that have proven successful.
I have used reverse tape with good success. Try 1 or two attempts on just the cap portion. I reverse the tape on two fingers. Hold the snakes head and apply a sight bit of pressure the roll the tape off.
This may be a little nerve racking at first. After you have done it a few times it becomes an art.
Good luck.
I've been misting to help, then tried the tape, BINGO! First try. I have to admit I was nervous, but it worked like a charm, thank you very much. One happy snake, one happy owner.
Thanks again to all!

Glad to hear plan "B" was effective.
