Hey Tom,

Do you know of any web pages that have pictures of Sauromalus klauberi or Slevini? Are they still considered a separate species? Or are they know rolled under ater? I have never seen either of these guys?

Just curious.

Thanks in advance.

Eve's favorite lurker.

I've never run across andy on-line pics, but I'me pretty sure that there are pics in L. Lee Grismer's Amphibians and Reptiles of Baja California, Including Its Pacific Islands and the Islands in the Sea of Cortés.

Alice is right on this one. Not many pics around of those island species. There is a Herp Monographs issue I believe Dec 2000 #12 with the article by Brad Hollingsworth on chuckwallas and his proposed reclassification(which is currently taxonomically correct). It has a few b/w photos. Also the book Alice mentioned by Lee Grismer. They are nothing to write home about as far as color, size etc. Slevini males remind me of a banded female chuck and klauberi kind of looks to me like a small hispidus(If I remember correctly). Tom
