Possible yes, likely...no. Crosses such as this depend on compatible pairs (meaning you will want to have multiple males & females to achieve sucess with just one pair). You could get lucky and the one pair you have could work but don't count on it. Find a nice female Jungle, you can pick them up now for a few hundred even a VERY nice one that 4-5 years ago would have been a $2500 snake and breed Jungles, they are great snakes in thier pure form. After sucessful copulation between the carpets, place your male in with the Ball and see what happens. That way you can have some breeding sucess with a beautiful species and won't be depending on a longshot when egg laying rolls around.

Good luck.

BTW here's some other species that have been crossed with Jungles sucessfully

Macklots Pythons
Green Tree Pythons
Womas
And of course all the other species/subspecies of
carpet/diamond pythons, while not hybrids in the
truest sense, they can produce some incredible looking
babies.

Hope this helps you

Just a quick thought,

Yes there has been a Woma(aspidites) X Ball done before, it is called the "Wall" and was produced by Kevin at N.E.R.D.

Also, a Woma(aspidites) has been crossed with Morelia as well (Irian Jaya Carpet Python) and was also done by Kevin.

I'm not saying that you couldn't cross a Carpet with a Ball, but I believe what is truly happening here is that the Woma is much like a preserved version of an ancient early python line(minus the heat pits) and therefore if both carpets and balls speciated out from an ancestral stock such as a woma, then this would mean they are backwards compatible with Womas(as they are) but this does not necessarily mean that they are cross compatible with each other, and I would expect a much lower success rate.

Hope this make sense, typed it real fast at work, if anyone has any questions feel free to ask.
