I understand mites are black but I noticed some little critters that are clear in color on a water bowl. Are these dust mites from the aspen bedding? There were no black mites found at all.
Any suggestions?

I have never heard of any bugs in Aspen. I would keep an eye on these. You might be seeing just hatched mites that have not yet filled with blood. Just keep watching the water bowl for black mites.
