Heat-Loving Colubrids?

dougferrin Nov 26, 2006 01:47 PM

I breed Ball Pythons, Borneo Short Tail Pythons and Kenyan Sand Boas.

In the summer, I keep the ambient temp of my reptile room around 85-86 degrees during the day, and at 82 at night.

That's too high for most colubrids.

Are there species that enjoy these high temps?

Doug

I don't personally know of anything in the genus Lampropeltis that would do well with the coolest area around 85 - but I'm sure there are some heat loving colubrids.
