I think it is but not sure what kind. I think I'd like to get one after I find out what it is.

......florida king,it's a goini/a.k.a. apalachicola/a.k.a. meansi king;patternless(or just about)....here's a pic of one of mine.very nice snakes usually.

"with head raised regally, and gazing at me with lidless eyes,he seemed to question with flicks of his long forked tongue my right to trespass on his territory" Carl Kauffeld
The snake pictured is a patternless phase of the kingsnake that is found in the panhandle of florida. Unfortunately, due to recent changes in taxonomy and common names, they care known as
- Apalachicola Kingsnakes
- Chipola River Kingsnakes
- Blotched Kingsnakes
- "Patternless" Blotched Kingsnakes
and the scientific names have been
- Lampropeltis getula floridana x getula (probably not correct)
- Lampropeltis getula goini (the most popular name in the hobby)
- Lampropeltis getula meansi (a new name that isn't popular with some,....including me
).
This subspecies of kingsnake varies from striped to patternless and many of the lines in captivity have some getula influence and are therefore partially blotched.
FWIK, It is tough to tell what an adult will look like from seeing the baby. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong! LOL
