Chuckwalla Riddle

MaureenCarpenter Nov 27, 2006 06:04 PM

OK, I have a riddle for all you guys! I'm sure that if you try to guess the answer, your responses will be a hoot. I'll give you my answer in my next post:

What is it that people will try to avoid at all costs
but Chuckwallas yearn for??

tgreb Nov 28, 2006 07:45 AM

unless you mean babies wanting adult poop. LOL ???? I give!

John-C Nov 28, 2006 09:29 AM

Ah hmmmmm,
How about that people in general don't care that much
for their veggies and chuckwalla simply love 'em.

On the same lines:
Another example is spinach? Although Popeye's cartoons
have certainly changed that. Besides you don't want Pluto
pouncing on ya!

How about exposure to sun (UVBs). Most people tend
to avoid it while smearing themselves with protective lotions
while chucks love it and seem to have a "the hotter the better"
or "burn baby burn" attitude ... lol.

I give up,
John

Here is a guess from the novice. I was thinking about dandelions. Most people despise them in their grass, but I water mine.

tgreb Nov 28, 2006 06:28 PM

The rock and a hard place and dandelion ones are great. Does the winner get a baby chuck? LOL.

John-C Nov 28, 2006 09:36 PM

I'll tell ya Tom,
There's some great answers out there.
I think Eve's "Inflation" may take the cake.

Chuckwalla do love to inflate while on that
scorching desert basking spot in order to
safely regulate their body temps and people
do try to avoid inflation at any cost.

You're killing us curious cats Maureen.
I think it's time to spill the beans ... lol.

Wow! I can't believe somebody actually guessed it!! Nice going John Nicholson. I love it when people lament being "between a rock and a hard place." Always makes me thing of our dear Chucks.LOL Obviously everybody knows their Chuckwalla "hard drives." Congratulations on your excellent answers. I particulary loved Eve's "inflation" answer! And as for Kaiser Sose's reward: he gets to submit the next riddle!

kaisar sose Nov 29, 2006 04:40 PM

Maureen,

Great minds must think alike!!! LOL. I'm a little bummed over the prize though. I was hoping it was going to be DVL's pen filled with Tom G's entire Varius collection delivered to my front door. Oh well. I'll recover and start thinking up our next riddle.

This was great fun.
