Ghost Breeding ???

TattooVT Nov 27, 2006 10:08 PM

I just picked up a beautiful female ghost. I have a male Anery (66% het Snow) and a male Albino that I could pair with her. I was wondering the outcome of either match up. Still trying to learn this stuff.

Thanks in Advance.

That ghost sounds nice! Here are the results of the breeding:

ghost x anery -->
1/2 ghost
1/2 anery

If any snows or moonglows (salmon, albino, anerythristic) pop out, then both snakes are heterozygous albino.

ghost x albino -->
1/2 salmon (aka hypo) heterozygous albino, heterozygous anerythristic
1/2 normal looking, heterozygous albino, heterozygous anerythristic

If any albinos or sunglows appear among the babies, then the ghost is also heterozygous albino

If any ghosts or anerythristics appear, then the albino is heterozygous anerythristic.

Hope this helps.

She is beautiful. It definitely sounds like pairing her up with the anery. I know the anery is a 66% het, and I think she is too. I e-mailed the breeder that I get them from. He is awesome and only sells the snakes that he breeds himself so I know the heritage of them all. I attached a pic of the ghost for you. Thanks again for all of your help Paul.

Here is the Anery too. It's a really dark pic. He is much lighter than he looks here, and his tail is amazing. I will take some better ones soon.
