Regurgitation Update

TattooVT Nov 27, 2006 10:30 PM

I posted a few weeks ago about my female normal having regurging twice. Since then I have secluded her in her own enclosure and waited two weeks before feeding her. She took a fuzzy down on 11/19 and has kept it down. I will try another next sunday 12/3, then put her back to weekly feedings with like everyone else. I'm not going to bump up the size of the meal for a couple more feedings just in case. Thank you to everyone on here for all of your support and knowledge. All of my animals are in great health and doing excellent.

Thanks again.

That's really good news. Your decision to slow down and ease her back into feeding is definately the correct solution to a problem that all to often is not handled correctly. Glad to hear you seeked out advice and then FOLLOWED it.

I see the "my snake regurged" thread every week, sometimes several times in a week. Too darn often the keeper refuses to listen to all the great advice given by MANY people on this forum. Regurges happen, sometimes it's obvious why (temps or handling) sometimes not. The important part is how to get the snake back to good health.

Everyone's suggestions worked perfectly. If anyone is having regurgitation issues please take a look through other people's previous issues regarding the subject. People on here are extremely helpful and have been through the same issues that you are going through. A huge thanks again to you all for all of your help. I attached a pic of the snake that had the issue. She is the only normal I have, but she was my first and got me hooked. The sweetest snake you could ever meet.
