Possibly sick iguana

zuzusmom Nov 28, 2006 11:01 AM

My iguana is in breeding season. He's kind of an orangey rusty color on his tail and arms and legs. I adopted him from a co worker. So I don't have much experience with iguanas. I'm worried whether or not the coloring is normal. Plus he only eats every other day or so. According to his previous owners this is normal. I don't know about that. I just want to know from others who have mature male iguanas that these things are normal or a warning of sickness.

Hi, this completely normal for a male in breeding season.
Mine is going thru the same thing but does tend to eat
every day but just not as much.
