100% het Albino X 100% het albino

chondro2002 Aug 07, 2003 08:15 PM

Am I correct in assuming that if you breed a 100% het albino to a 100% het albino that all of the resulting offspring would be 100% albinos? possibilty that some would be 100%hets? Thanks!

The offspring would be 66% poss het because the parents still carry the normal gene, it would be possible to pass just the normal gene to the resulting offspring.

When you breed 100% hets together the offspring tend to 25% albinos, 50% hets, and 25 % normals. Because the normals and hets will be indistinguishable from eachother...they are termed 66% hets.
